How much truck do I need?

Hmm...I'm not sure either about this modes in climate control and the hot starting...
I know it's two extra tires...But I think you would like a dually for your camper..They are very stable truck with the training wheels...
Never heard of a hard start problem with a diesel engine when hot..Diesels love the heat...

training wheels are almost always a bonus.......until you go to the tire shop for 6 new ones
the only diesels I've heard of prone to hot startitis is a ford 7.3 or 6.0 isn't it?????

Yeah, I was referring to blend door and recirculation door problems. Getting at them requires removing the dash as an assembly, draining coolant and evacuating AC system. It's quite time consuming.
On the common rail engines when injectors start to fail they can start duming more fuel into the return. If several are out of spec, it can take some cranking for the pump to get the rail pressure up to where the ESC will fire the injectors.
Injectors for these engines are not cheap.

After doing some studying I went and found me a nice old 12 valve with under 250,000 on it. And got him down too 3800. Dollars on it. Haven't had any problems so far. Seems to run like a new one. I ran a carfax on it. It was a one owner truck like he said, it lived its whole life in Arlington Texas. Its a loaded 2500 2 wheel drive standard shift. Doesent leak anything or use oil. AC / WORKS, cruise, power windows. So far all is well. Lots of power, and what seems like around 500 miles on a tank of Diesel.
