How do you Guys keep traction???

Now that I went from my 35's and lift to 285's and stock hight I cant not spin the tires when trying to have a little fun with buds or anything I always get beat because I sit there or move along slowly With no traction.

SO my question is How do i get more tracion in 2wdand some times in 4wd they spin ( although I might be hitting the skinny one to hard in 4wd) I am going to add traction bars here soon

if i go off that statement, i would say you have plenty of grip. a good launch needs little or no slip. the quickest fix for traction is a wider tire

Put a 1/4 inch steel plate in the bed of the truck. I know yesterday, I was playing nicely with a Ford PS and broke the tires loose and went sideways at 55 on the highway. Kind of had to clean my drawers.

If you're having problems with too much torque, you could always pull the Cummins out and install a Power?Stroke diesel.

The 12v's build so much torque it is a handfull to keep um straight. If I don't keep the front end engaged it gets real slippery.

This pic was from a 1/4mile pass where the front diff had disengaged in the staging lane and would not reengauge.I could not feather the pedal enough to get it to hook up so she was blowing the tires off through the traps in 5th.

Wink

Most guys in the rural areas fill their beds full of hay bales, I like the water filled tires or a sure-trax water bladder in the bed.

Concrete bedliner sounds sweet!

This is starting to get good Throw a couple suitcase weights in the bed of the truck. Thats what I do when we have any measurable amount of snow fall around here.
