Happy or sad they sold the Dodge???

I know 2 people that are now kicking thenselves in the butt because they sold their Dodges!! They were affraid of $6 and $7 a gallon diesel hitting quickly. I told them I will probably pay "Almost" any amount and keep my truck. They both have said they could have waited and now SHOULD have waited. I laughed the other day and did the I told ya so thing. I am very glad I kept mine.

That was dumb

An advantage of diesel powered vehicles is they will run on almost anything...

so when gasoline disappears, at least we can still drive our trucks.

I'm thinking about selling mine and buying my wife a Suburban with the 8.1, yes 8.1 , because we need more room. Prices are VERY good on gas hogs these days. I do think I'll miss my truck once its gone, but I have to consider my wifes wants also.

All I can say is that I sold my 06 and got a Tacoma because I sold everything else. Guess what???? Bought another boat and now have a new 08 Ram 1500 Quad, HEMI...... Sure it is not the Cummins, and YES I do miss the beast ....... Do not need the extra power for the boat and $$ spent out that the Cummins was taking. I mean that as far as Tags, Maintenance, and I could not stop buying power stuff ....... The HEMI will roll and pulls great. MPG's on Highway are comparable to the 6.7l Cummins so I could not go that route. I know towing is a different story. That only accounts for 10% of my driving it. Plus I got 0% on the 1500 with a TON of rebates that make it worth wile. BUT, everytime I see a Cummins powered Dodge running up the road I have that feeling of being the pup on the porch ...YES I REGRET IT....Boost

Ever thought about a van? Even a full-size, such as a Sprinter or a D-max powered Chevy would get twice the mileage of an SUV with an 8.1L. You would have nearly equal, if not more room in a good minivan. I couldn't imagine buying something like this these days...good luck...

Now is still a great time to buy. With gas and fuel prices coming down for the time being and the uncertainty of the future I think that prices will stay down for quite a while on trucks. But should they keep going way, way down - say 2.00 or so it may come back up a bit and the smokin deals we're seeing on trucks like Megacabs may not be so good then.
A few months ago I saw an SLT 4x4 Mega go for 18,300 on E-bay. 72k miles and nothing wrong with it. I wanted that thing!!!
By the way gasoline has hit 2.71 here in Indy. Diesel still hanging around 3.60's to 3.70's. Gas is falling like a rock, while diesel seems to fall like a feather. That's bs.

When I retired, I sold all the diesels and kept 95 gasser. Since then I've bought two more diesels, sold one and kept the other. While the Uni doesn't get great mileage it pulls a like a moose. Fuel prices are declining, but it won't be long before they are right back up there in $4-5 range.
