Looks like a chrome tip only?

The turbo sounds good. But the rest is too raspy.

That's a unique sound and I don't like it, sounds like a diesel wannabe rice processor

There are a few 7.3s around here that have some sort of exhaust on them and wow, they sound like crap.

While there are a lot of folks out there that really like the sound of a strait piped V8 diesel, and I can respect that, but I fear I can not claim to be one of them.
We have several running around my area and as mentioned, the sound they produce is just a bit too raspy for my likings.
It must be a function of cylinder size, but the I6 diesels just have a deeper, smoother sound to them.

Rich.

What's bad is the truck was in gear at the time. I hear plenty of open choked Powerstrokes around here, mainly 7.3s and the only time I like hearing them is when all I've been hearing are the gassers.

I live on large hill with fairly sharp turns in it way out in Ozark Mountain Country, you get to hear those sick sounding powerchoke outfits everyday groaning and straining as they climb the hill. With a load of hay on the back they really sound sick. I'm just glad theres more CTDs than strokes out my way.
