Had a stoplight war (fun) with a Duramax tonight :)

I was headed down 55 to get on 40 about half an hour ago, and as I was pulling up I saw what appeared to be an older Chevy worktruck (it had a service bed, an one of the older style Chevy tailgates, but when I was close to the side I saw that rectangular badge above the 3500 logo and I knew it was a Duramax. There were some guys in the back seat, and a one of them (I don't think he spoke much english) opens his window and says three! two! one! go!. And I knew what he was getting at. I wasn't in the mood for having a stoplight war against a Duramax, and I had purposely stopped the front of the 2500 at the Chevy's cab so I wouldn't pull up next to the drive and look at him and therefore signify a race (I think there is something about a 17 year old driving up in a big diesel truck that makes people want to race me.). Anyway, the guy in the little extended cab thing (back seat is what I mean lol) keeps looking back at me, the light turns green, I ease into full throttle (didn't feel like mashing it, its a bone stock 2500, and I want to be careful with the trans), and the 4.10s were pulling ahead for about the first 15 feet or so and then the high-revving V8 took over. I let off by about the time I was through the intersection, I knew that the guy just wanted to have a little fun after working all day, and well I can't deny I enjoyed it too. I had a big smile on my face afterwards for a while. (I didn't sit there and go "hey, I just lost to a Duramax). Just little things like that that can make life interesting. No smoking tires, no yelling at eachother, no "friendly" gestures, just diesel vs. diesel.

Yup. Go and race a modded dmax and beat one of them. They don't take kindly to it. At least not the ones I've run into.

BigBlue can not be held responisble for his words or actions and was not intentionally slamming all dmax owners as I'm sure some of them are good sports but this was BigBlue's personal experience with a modded dmax owner.

Ha, I was next to a Dmax yesterday that had some banks stickers and some other garbage on it so I pulled ahead while driving and blew a little smoke so he got on it and started to speed up towards me. I began to slow down and he backed down and turned off the road we were on. I was dissapointed
