[QUOTE=Buckshotram;2524162]Believe me when I say im not a powerstroke lover but I got to add a few things in.....

Ever rode in a bone stock 94-95 auto. has to about be the slowest stock truck there is. my old 93 Z71 would run circles around it.

This is mighty cummins power im talkin about, KDP, #53Blocks, VP44, Deathwoble trackbar, wonderful headlights and swich's 60% of 2nd gens have cracked dashes by now, and Dodge is know for their bulletproof auto trans.
By no means is dodge the perfect truck, cummins are wonderful moters but what wraped around it is ?????? I have a 96 FSuperduty for a landscape work truck and even with 5:13 gears it is guttless as heck. However it is a 7.3 and is a pretty reliable old truck. 10 lug truck drives/rides/handles better than the dodge.
I will never own a 6.0L, who wants to pull the cab to work on it which is a not if but when? I will admit the 03 have a cool whistle and the 5 or so I have rode in are weak off the line, I wouldn't want one to have to heavy tow with but you get them wound up and thry move along pretty well.

The 94-95 did not use the VP pump!!!
Anything can be read on the internet!!!
One guy told me the 6.0 ford and the Cummins used the same crankshaft!!!
I thought I was gonna bust open with laughter!!!! The Cummins crank would have to be cut to get it even close!!! Same guy said they shared rods too!!!!
Some will believe anything.
Add some fuel and air to a Cummins and no other truck can pull the same load for as many miles for the fuel costs.

This is my first Dodge truck, all in all it has been a great vehicle, some normal repairs yada yada yada. I actually like the "Dodge part", comfortable inside, I like the interior styling and it fits me well. Truck runs strong off the line and pulls hard in the lower rpm band just the way I like. With that being said, I traded an 03 6.0 F-350 cc 8'bed in on this Dodge. I put a 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust on it and an Edge juice Platinum that ran on the #2 setting (tow 40hp) setting while towing and the #3 setting for daily driving. Gutless off the line with out any spool up, but once it hit 1800 rpm it was nighty night to the rear tires, 3 gears of rubber while accelerating. I had to replace the clutch pack in the rear twice from hot rodding it. Sorry to say this, but not in this life time would my 06 ever even come close to beating that truck. As far as pulling goes, it had to be at 2k rpm or better to pull good. The Dodge just flat out shines it pulling all the way around, no real comparission.

My perfect truck would be my 06 with the 5r110 torque shift tranny.

You are so correct.

Torque converter an valve body are my next projects, then I will re-evaluate my previous statements.

Killer, my neighbor, has a '97 crewcab 4x4 powerchoke with injectors and a turbo and a boost fooler (?) with an automatic. He's faster than me up to about 100' mark, then I steam past him. He'll start catching up about the time I hit 95mph, but the fat lady's already sung by then. Killer's mystified at the power of the Cummins!
