I will blow some smoke on someone following to close, but i try to be nice when passing. I was behind a disabled person the other day (tag in window) they were going very slow had window down, i got ready to pass and knew it would fill the car up if i stayed in it so i hit it and coasted past him whoever was behind me got some smoke though lol

Well, after my edit at the start of this thread, I have to admit I smoked somoeone out pretty good over the holiday. There was a long hill and I was pulling about 9K. Stuck behind someone pulling a 5th wheel and struggling up the hill (down to 40 mph on a 55 mph 2 lane), I passed because I got impatient. Tried to roll into the pedal slowly to not smoke but I lost my gear just after getting 4th to lock up and BAM, I smoked the heck out of him and the cars behind me.

If you were on US 31 in MI last Friday and a guy in a silver 2500 pulling a trailer full of logging equipment choked you out, that was me and I'm sorry. It sometimes takes deft skinny-pedal work to keep a gear in these things.

In other news, I stopped to fill back up at a Flying J in Indiana, and they wouldn't let me use the LSD; only semis were allowed. What's up with that? I paid more for crappier ULSD fuel...???

Someone did that to my dad on a motorcycle trip we took last year. Dad has severe asthma and emphazema and it almost caused him to wreck. If I could have found or caught that guy it would have been a very bad day for him.

I think intentionally smoking someone out who has their window down is pure crap. Those guys can continue doing it and think they're cool but I guarantee I'll hunt down the SOB if it ever happens to me.

Why do so many people think tuning an engine to waste fuel like that is cool??
& then to blow said wasted fuel in someone's face is just flat nasty.

i try not smoke motorcycles out ever, but if i wanna pass them or accelerate quicker, and they're behind me a decent amount of smoke will exit my exhaust.....but those yo yo's in there honda's blaring their crappy music with their windows down...they get the blacked out, whether their next to me or behind me, my truck sitting on 33's is right at there window level too so it conviently goes right into there car. and generally they roll their windows up pretty quick. having been smoked out intentionally by my buddies, i don't mind it but it is rather hard to see in front of me especially at night. thats why tailgaters get it good too from me and everyone i know with a diesel truck, you tail gate especially on a 5 lane highway you get sooted big time.

Nah, it's not nearly as nasty as co-listening to some wanna-be-gangsta turd thumping "lick you like a lollipop", an ode to oral sex, at mind-numbing volume. My windows up, his windows down, 45 deg Saturday morning, and my 3 1/2 year old son now knows he can sing "licka-licka-licka like a lollipop!" to freak his mom out.
If I could go back in time to that moment I'd still smoke him out, and wish I could spray a little tar, too.
I mean, I can keep those influences out of my home, but why should I not inflict some petty vengeance when some punk inflicts that trash on my child?
As far as those shouting down the ability to make smoke, "Semper Paratus" as the Coasties say... "Always Prepared". I can, but I don't gotta, but when I gotta, I can.

With fuel prices the way they are, I have to be careful with my ole truck. The industrial engines like mine apparently are not nearly as peppy as the dodge truck engines. If it is not smoking, it will hardly get out of its own way. I have a smaller turbine housing I need to install so I dont smoke so much. I am sure folks think I am an idiot kid rolling smoke, but I hope to get the new turbine housing on and timing bumped in the next month which should help. Untill then....I will be percieved as an idiot to other drivers I suppose.
