Got Smoked!

Got Smoked!
I know a lot of people like to 'roll the coal' but yesterday evening I was sitting at a north/south stop light with my window open and some guy heading eastbound took a right with twin stacks on his CTD and popped it right when he got to my window. There was obvious intent as he then took 2 more lefts then a right, resuming his original route.
I was seriously PO'ed and Mrs. Austin gave a big old 'What the Fudge!' My question is, why do people do that? Is it some macho or inadequacy thing? The guy wasn't some teenager - probably late 20's.
I mean, yeah your rig looks cool and all but what ever happened to common sense and courtesy?
And no, I didn't know him from Adam.

And again we wonder why there are new laws coming. I guess the newer trucks with the DPF in the exhaust will cure that problem. If we show off in the wrong places we will be busted..We never notice someone obeying the law but always notice the law breaker.
I'm not saying I'm against a little fun, heck I drove an old Chevy 65 10 wheeler with the 8.2 V-8 ??? diesel. If you took it down low in the revs and stood on her you could smoke out a whole side walk. Don't ask me how I know.LoL.. Nothing wrong with a little smoke in the right place..

A lot of people like to smoke out preppy BMWs and Mercedes' and Volvos without thinking that odds are most of those drivers are uptight about stuff like that and VOTE.
Plus, with fuel at $4.50 a gallon, I think your borderline EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT for wasting fuel like that.
Am I wrong? Maybe its the Captain talking but thats how I see it right now.....

I'm with you gas, I'm always taking a quick peek at my tailpipe in the mirror to make sure I'm NOT smoking.
At today's fuel prices you may as well drive down the road and throw dollar bills out the window.
When you smoke out someone there maybe 1 in 10 people watching that think , wow that was cool, the other nine hate it. Jusy my opinion

I don't hardly ever do that, of course fuel prices are the main reason, but you never know who you might have did that to and them seeing your truck in wal-mart parking lot and.......OH thats that edit that smoked me out the other day, i'll show that SOB, thats why i don't do it they might remember!

I dont mind letting my dodge smoke a little bit, but thats cause the only driving it sees anymore is about a 10 mile loop I make once a week to keep it running. Other than that, I cruise my company duramax everywhere and it doesn't offer a particle of smoke and still only gets 13mpg, i can only imagine the mileage otherwise.

At the cost of fuel I do what ever I can to not smoke... but when I used to I only did it to one type of car... The Thug'd out beaters that were blasting "Rap" music so loud... They made me listen to that crap over my own radio in my truck... then I had no problem giving them a taste of dino fumes!!!

I can't claim to "roll the coal". Since I get most of my oil from Chinese fry joints, can I say I "roll the eggrolls"?
