i remember a poster in health class that used to give me a good laugh cause it was funny and made a good point. It had a few animals like a chimp and donkey and what not with a cigarett in their mouth. under it had the caption of something like It doesnt just look dumb on the or its as unnatural looking for you too. anyhow id love to have that as a sticker with the caption like, diesels smoke but its not as dumkb as you smokin. eh so i didnt put any thought into that but im sure someone can think of something.

I smoke people out on my way in to work every morning, and I don't even have mine turned up yet. Geez...I guess my stock factory vehicle would be illegal to drive in some states from the sound of it. Stupid environmental wackos.

This reminds of when my buddy got a photo radar ticket. He sent them a picture of cash in the exact amount of what the ticket was. They sent him a picture back...a set of handcuffs!

Funny how they can be all over us for smoke, but most big rig's are puffing too....and are they chasing them down?
Here in Tennessee they just started doing emissions for under 11,000gvw, so they tested my 2500, but didnt get to my 3500. I passed, of course I didnt have anything on the go pedal or it probably wouldnt have...hahaha
I would like to have clean air too, but unless they chase everyone its not a fair fight. Off road diesel help out the smoke levels too, but they would never make the construction industry change.....at least I dont think they would who really knows?
Better make sure I never change out my Formula 1 mach 2 injectors, just to control all that smoke....

Does black, rich smoke have more NOx in it than regular smoke? I don't think that it necessarily does...
Nor does it even have more hydrocarbons in it than clear smoke can have... You can get behind some of those old musclecars that burn your eyelids off, they put out more hydrocarbons than Diesel's do... Diesel hydrocarbons just happen to be black...
Or so I think that's how it works... Now as a safety issue, black smoke can definitely be ticket-worthy. The entire "blacking out three lanes of the freeway" story is just somewhat deserving of a ticket. But judging emissions just on opacity is somewhat stupid, isn't it?
Although I know that powerplants all operate off of opacity standards, so I'll have to consult the experts later tonight...

In fall 2006 off road fuel will all be the same low sulfur fuel used on-road today and all on-road fuel will be ultra low sulfur diesel.

Mine smokes pretty good, but I can't seem to make it consistant. Now one of the guys I work with has stage 3's and he can lug it down in 5th and smoke out 3 or 4 lanes
Was there a fine attached? I got a letter from the tollway with a picture of my truck. My easy tag was not working for some reason. The picture was taken from the back right side. You could see my pipe. If I would have only known I could have made a great avitar photo!

So lesson here is: Do selective smoking. Always look for police, and have a good excuse if you do get stopped or one of those cool photo tickets.....oh yeah and SMILE!
