remember the frenzy with GM and Renault a few months back and nothing happened. I would not get spun out about it as odds are nothing will happen

I'm wondering if corperate just leaked this to get their stocks to fluctuate in their favor.

I don't know why everybody down grades GM like they make pure crap?
I have always been a GM man but love all three brands.
I do think GM makes a better products.
I bought My Dodge because of the cummins and solid axle.
But after six months the front end dodge made is crap feels like a twig, I've never heard so many noises and felt so loose. My old 92 GMC 1500 with 175,000miles never felt like that.

And to all the haters the D-MAX is a great motor plan and simple its no cummins but its not far behind either. and anything is better then the 48re

And if DC is so great, Tell me why they go belly up so much and need hand outs from others to keep from going under????? Anwser that one?????

I was just watching NBC nightly news and saw this report. Sounds very preliminary though and very unlikely in my opinion...

I was at the chevy-dodge dealer in lamesa and the sales guy was telling me about the GM rep saying that toyota was looking at buying chrysler.

Then you could have your tundra with a cummins

Not knocking GM or it's products, just its financial status. If you or I owed 5 times the interest this year, more than what our total income was, we couldn't get a loan for a gumball. But somehow, someone would give GM more credit... That is truly amazing...

52 k is getting a little far fetched.

The ONLY thing that could be worse for Chrysler than being "owned" by Daimler, would be to be owned by the dinosaur that is General Motors.

But, having said that, I do ferverently hope that Daimler divests itself of Chrysler BEFORE it bleeds the most innovative North American manufacturer of ALL of it's capital and talent. It may be too late already!

I hear you. I drove GM's for 28 years and then had a brain fart and got a Dodge!

Dennis, my mom has one too. I always refer to it as the "PeeTee LOSER"....and she just gives me this funny look...and smiles.

I don't like it (course i don't like any small vehicle)....but it has actually held up pretty well with no problems.

Dennis,
There's a cream colored one around Arlington that someone has put fender skirts and a "Continental Kit" on.........

For the "young" Guys/Gals that don't know........these are fender skirts.

Oh, that would be great. They did such great things in partnership with AMC.
