When they talk about Chrysler that includes Dodge and Jeep and that falls under the Chrysler umbrella.

How could GM afford to buy it when they are in such bad shape? I'm confused!
But then again..I wouldn't mind a Silverado 3/4 with a Cummins!

Maybe this way the GM people that decided to admit the injector issues with the Duramax, and not only fix them but warranty them for 200k miles, will take over from the clowns at DC.

"Chrysler" refers to the Chrysler Corporation (pre-Daimler acquisition) which included, at one time, Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial and Dodge Trucks - ignoring military and industrial holdings such as Airtemp (an HVAC system manufacturer.)

They need to figure out how to make that 4 wheel steering work on solid axles, both front and back and then that Denali you refer to would be a nice truck.

I guess I will get a tundra now....stupid. Why do the big three keep doing stupid things like this? Eventually there will be one car company and we will be driving battery powered cars because the EPA will make ANY emissions illegal...it only gets worse.

Jeep bla,bla Everyone but Benz, they wised up already and told DC what to do with DR.Z. You really think things can get worst than DC`s current status and products? at least you`ll get a 100K warranty. Wish theyed of offered that on the Pile of Jeep I bought a few months ago, buy then It wont be around long enough to see the 36K end. Never again.

CNN is reporting that the GM/Chrysler deal is mere rumor at this point and neither company will admit to even having discussed the idea. None of the financial folks they talked to saw a purchase of Chrylser Group by GM as likely due to Gm's current financial standings. It woild seem a purchase of the Chrysler Group by Renault is just as likely at this point.

What IS being confirmed is that GM and Chrysler have discussed a joint SUV project, and that the discussions on it are still underway.....

I have learned over the years to not nessacarily ignnore the rumor mill, but not to take it at face value either....meaning I am not going to take this as fact until there is more to the story than speculation..

Why didn't Dodge ever bring back the Ram Charger, I'd love to have one, it could have competed against the Yukon and Tahoe. Can you imagine a Ram Charger with a Cummins?

Sorry O/T somewhat, but had to gripe about this with the situation of Chrysler and all.

Wifey just bought one about a week ago and she didn't find your Pee Tee "Cruiser" comment very funny!

It's used and I wasn't real fond of her choice,,,, but it seems to have held up pretty good so far and at least I talked her out of getting a used Mustang convertible.

We will all probably be driving vehicles made by General Electric before this goes through anyway,,,,,,,
