By the way, 15.8 at 91mph is pretty good for a truck. Don't call your truck slow when its quicker than a lot of cars.

I have an 02 Duramax, (The new 06 360 hp version is something like 30% quieter) and even with the Banks exhaust I only have to shut it off at drive thru`s once in a while. (Maybe once every 8-12 trips!) By the way, my truck has 80,000 miles, so it should be as loud as it will get.
You would be very happy with the Duramax/Allison combo.
The Duramax is not a throw away engine, whomever is feeding that line of bull is lieing.
The new LBZ Duramax has 650 ft lb tq at 1600 rpm, it has max hp and tq in every gear, it produces 500+ ft lb tq from about 1300 rpm all the way to red line. (3250 rpm) If that don't get the job done, none of the three will!
