Question Fuel Pressure gauge sending unit?

I have a isspro fuel pressure gauge in my 02 CTD and sometimes it leaks so the cab smells of diesel. So my question is, is there a company that makes a fuel pressure gauge that has a sending unit so no diesel has to come into the cab?? I've searched the web and haven't found anything. Thanks for any help!!

If it's leaking, something isn't right.

3+ years with mine and not a drip.

I've got over 800 miles on mine with no leaks. Try tightening the connection. Or possibly put some thread lock on the threads.

Just not teflon tape.
Bad mojo if it gets into the fuel system.

250 miles on mine, no leaks.

I've tighten it many times and I finally added thread lock and it still leaks once and a while plus even if it doesn't leak the cab still smells of diesel, not that I mind I luv the smell of diesel in the morning but when I have someone in the truck with me I always get a comment. I've found the Di-Pricol fuel isolator but I'm not sure it will work with the isspro gauge, guess I have to do some more homework.
thanks for the suggestions will try the sponors up top and see what else is avaliable!

If the leak is coming from a compression type fitting, the kind with a ring (ferrule) on the tubing, it was probably overtightened and deformed the ferrule. Happens most every time. You'll need a new ferrule, about a dime from the auto parts. This time just tighten it by hand plus one turn with a wrench. Thread sealant/tape does absolutely nothing on this type of fitting, the ferrule is what makes the seal not the threads.

Just say no to Teflon tape, great for water pipes but has no place on a vehicle, it will leak with petro products.

sorry, Infidel I dont buy that....literelly, MILES and MILES of teflon tape is used in the North American oil patch on everything. It's used on just about any threaded fitting and it doesnt leak. I do agree not to use it on the fuel system because it isnt good for injector pumps. Also, you DO NOT want to use threadlocker, that is the wrong application. You want a thread sealant.....Liquid Teflon works great - Loctite 567 PST You should e able to get it at any Industrial supply store.

Why is special yellow Teflon tape made for petro products then?
I just know from my own personal experience it's just a matter of time till the white stuff leaks, especially with diesel.
Permatex #2 is what the fuel suppliers I've dealt with use for thread sealer.

There could possibly be different grades of tape that Im not aware of??....never seen the yellow stuff that you are talking about. Most of the teflon that Ive seen is generally all the same brand. Im not talking about the stuff that you buy from Walmart, Im talking about the industrial rated stuff.....so I dunno. I think that a thread sealer (such as Permatex or Loctite) is a much better solution in this and many cases.
