I know everyone here loves the cummins motor, I do too, but my 2 Ford F-250's were in my opinion far better trucks than the Ram. I love all my little goodies like the overhead computer and bells and whistles the Dodge has but I've speant more time in the shop in the last 4 months with stupid little problems than I ever speant in the previous 4 years with my fords. If it wasn't for the motor I would not be driving a Dodge (well the motor and the fact that Dodge was giving trucks away!), I'd be in a Ford again.

If the site allows pic linking, right click on the picture, go to properties and copy/paste the url between these boxes [IMG][/IMG] then paste the whole thing into your post. It will look something like this:

If it works when you post the reply it will come up as a picture in your post.

I guess only way Ford could compete is to add another turbo.....I guess soon they'll have to add 4 more cylinders too

How the h e double hockey sticks are they going to find a way to put another turbo under that Ford hood???? I was at the LA Auto Show yesterday and moseyed by the Ford display... It's been a while since I saw one of those motors shoe-horned into that engine bay... I can't see where the heck they'd put another turbo - especially not with all of the additional plumbing...

Quite a few engine manufacturers are adding twins to meet Tier III emissions standards that go into effect in 2007. Some of the diesel passenger cars sold in Europe have had twins for several years.

Well, I am loyal to not one brand, as I have owned all of the Big 3, and I do know this.....The PSD outsold the Cummins AND the Duramax combined. So, there are quite a few uys out there that think the PSD is a heck of a truck. Don't get me wrong, I would not own the 6.0 as I think it is a pile of crap also (my PSD was the last of the 03 7.3) But I think Ford puts together one heck of a truck (minus the 6.0). This is my first Cummins, and so far so good, but I think those that are closed minded about owning anything but one brand is kind of silly. I just do not see how you can pass judgement on something, and never have owned one. SInce I have owned all 3, I can tell you that all of the trucks have good points AND bad points, end of story.

They are going to make the engine bay bigger by adding a different hood. If they do come out with a twin I bet there will be alot of people buying one because they see it as being moded from the factory. I biggest thing that I have against the other diesels is the way that they heat up. They use glow plugs rather then a grid air heater. You need to warm up the fuel and air first to help it start up better, not the cylinder. It is just easier. Also, the glow plugs are junk IMHO. Other then that I think the fords are decent trucks (if they can find a engine that runs).
