It sounds like you are driving a dmax and very happy with it. That's a good thing, I just hope it last long enough for you to pay for it.

Sounds like a great candidate for a Chevy IFS front end swap!

I think the older 6.9 and 7.3 non turbos, and the 7.3 Powerstrokes were pretty good stuff. When the smaller more powerful engines came about, the troubles begined.

Now that Cummins has upped the power combined with emissions stuff they have troubles too.

I used to read all kinds of bad about the Duramax, but I know of some pretty loyal Chevy/GMC people around here!

Well, Cummins owners love their 24v, despite the fact they've replaced the vp44 4 times, and transmission problems, and front end problems. When you love something, you tend to see past the problems it has.

haha well the dodge has just as much potential to break down as the 6.0, because ford owns cummins..

I used to hear all that about how the cummins would no longer be in a dodge because ford owns cummins. well I heard that ten yrs. ago and its strange that the cummins is still in a dodge.

I will disagree.
The only issue that I have had with my truck is the injectors which "I" decided to mod and went too big.
I don't care who you are..if you think YOUR truck is perfect you are wrong!
Every truck has a weakness.
