Ford 6.0 Mods for milage???

Hey guys, buddy of mine just got an 05 Ford 6.0 4x4 and we've strait-piped it and a CAI will be going on very soon. What is the best module or tuner for maximum milage gains? How is the EGR delete done? TIA!!

Install the 5.9L Cummins module. It gives you 2 fewer cylinders for better fuel economy and an in-line configuration for dramatically improved reliability.

Now, I know it was a far cry for help asking a bunch of Dodge freaks about a furd, but come on now. I'm sure someone has some Ford knowledge around here. I've checked out the Ford forums and there's not a no-brainer answer for everything like the Smarty is around here.

LOL sorry. I'm just in one of those smart-aleck moods today. I wish I could help you but I know nothing about 6.0 PowerJokes.

I think Quadzilla makes a mileage box for a Ford. I really can't tell any difference in mileage on my truck but it sure didn't loose any either.

Get rid of the cat whendoing the exhaust.Get a SCT with an Extreme Street Tune. Contact Eric at Innovative Diesel http://www.innovativediesel.com/ . The EGR can be turned of in the computer with the Extreme Street Tune. Also the torque convertor can be locked up in 3rd gear and up at 40 mph. I picked up 1.5 mpg and added about 110 HP at the wheels. If he tows get the Jake Brake tune. It uses the turbe as an exhaust brake and locks the convertor up an both the upshifts and downshifts. I hear good stuff about BullyDog and Fords. The Bully stuff doesn't seem so good for Cummins, but seems to work well with the Fords.

A Buddy of mine has the SCT on his and it was quick but it would also start to leak coolant if he pushed it on the higher settings. IIRC, the head studs on the 6.0 are pretty sensitive. His coolant problem seems to come more from the 6.0L factor rather than the SCT side of things.
