Electrical question

I just ran power from my passenger side battery to my crossover toolbox. I mounted my air compressor and tank inside the box. I used a long piece of sealtite with two lengths of #6 (hot & grnd) and two 16guage wires (one for air horn switch, one spare). 40amp circuit breaker at battery.
I'm going to mount a 4 circuit fuse panel in the toolbox. My question is, since the toolbox is aluminum, can I just tie the ground wire in with a lug directly to the box or should I insulate it? Would there be a problem with the entire box being a ground?

guess you used copper wire. i would use a ground bar with muiltiple lugs and run any loads(air comp. ect) with two leads(pos, neg) back to the fuse panel and ground bar. cleaner looking and no prob. with bad grounds(trying to screw stuff all over the box and loosing up, al to copper connection, ect)

Forgot about the copper/aluminum thing... That's one problem I do not want.
Thanks for reminding me... I'm a little rusty with my electrical knowledge.
Darn dissimilar metals...
