Cool DYNO Runs

I posted here figuring it'd be seen everywhere since it's not really a 3G thing. Anyhow... I'm going tomorrow to DYNO the truck again... thought I'd ask a couple questions to see if anyone knew the answers:

1) I know on the street (or strip) that wheels and tires add rotational mass and can slow you down... does it make any difference on a DYNO?

2) Are you likely to get higher/more accurate numbers if you pull the ABS fuse?

Since the DYNO measures steady state power the mass of the wheels shouldn't make any difference. Mass makes a difference in accelleration though.

Don't know why you're asking about ABS system unless you ride the brakes.

I thought I heard somewhere that the ABS senses that the rear wheels are going crazy while the fronts are still and held back some.

The ABS system only works to release the brakes when you have your foot on the pedal. Otherwise there is no effect unless there is some connection through the throttle. If it makes you feel better though you can pull the fuse. It won't hurt anything.

Got it done... the EZ was pretty much right on with it's advertised gains.

Stock (aFe Intake and straight pipe... no real improvment mods) I ran a 278.5HP & 512.7TQ and last night I ran 325.7HP & 635.1TQ a gain of 47.2HP & 122.4TQ out of a 65HP & 150TQ box. So yea... I'm happy.

I've had it on the dyno before... this is actually the 4th time total. Once for BD Power Dyno Days and 3 on this one... it's helped in actually seeing the gains.
