General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

New diesel magazine

There's a new magazine out . " Diesel Power " They don't have subscription service yet and it sells out fast on the newsstands . I bought the first and third issues - couldn't find the second issue . Check out their website at www.dieselpowermag.com . Well son of a gun , I just went there and they are taking subscriptions now . Gotta get one .

I can't verify the differences but I believe the LLY fuel rails are located outside the valve cover vs. inside the valve cover on LB7. Also look for the EGR setup on the LLY.
Quick and easy way to check is to open up the glove box and look at the build codes.

well the dmax we are looking at is an 01, so im pretty sure that intals the LB7

From what i read last night both seem to have the same lil issues( injectors, over heating ect) But frm what ive read injectors are warrienties till 200k Thats what i would be worried about, the truck has 68 on it know. So more than enough time to make sure they work i suppose :P
