Sharp looking truck, 3 pedals, 2 pulling axles, what's not to love?

(DJ gets another vote)

But they are all nice looking rigs, one day I'll have first gen........

All the trucks are really sharp.

But I just want to comment, that I think it is unfair to the other 2 to be put in the same group with a 4x4 truck. If you have 3 somewhat equal trucks and one is a 4x4 it is always going to get more votes. They just look better. Not knocking the others at all, but you really need to compare those trucks to equal 2x4 trucks, imo.

See this thread.... https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=132077

No offense Shovelhead....I appreciate you putting the work you do into this every month. But 4x4s need to be compared to other 4x4s.

Does anybody agree or disagree with my comments earlier in this thread? I really believe this would have been a very close contest if the other 2 trucks were 4x4. Go back and look at the other 2 trucks and imagine them with added suspension height, tires and wheels on DJ's truck. Different contest then! IMO.

DFB gets my vote. Two trips to the artic circle, and a DTT tranny! Love it.

4x4 did not affect my vote. On vintage trucks...I look at mileage and mods done to keep it running!

Rowland, I think your opinion was the exception and not the rule. Look at how this was such a runaway poll. I have no doubt in my mind that DJ got the majority of the votes because of the way the 4x4 sits up high and looks better. At the time of this writing, he has 83 percent of the total vote with the other 2 sharing roughly 17 percent. I don't recall ever seeing a poll this lopsided before.

I agree that other factors should come into play and that DFB has an awesome rig. So does CC Stan.

I just believe it was unfair to them to be put in the running with DJ. DJ should have been placed in a poll with 2 other 4x4 1st gen trucks. DFB and CC Stan should have had another 1st gen 2wd truck to compare them against and it would have much more evenly matched.

Ok, ill shut up now. I just can't believe im the only one that sees this or shares this view.

Congratulations DJ for Feb Truck of the Month!! Very nice!

To the others, you have some very nice looking rigs. Hopefully in the future you will get a second chance against some non-4x4 trucks.
