General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Does anyone here daily drive there dually?

Well, I'm officially the newest member of the cool duals crowd. Got my aluminum flatbed and my dual wheels installed yesterday, finally. I love the way it looks and rides. It does actually handle curves a lot better. Got plans for some stacks here shortly. It will still be my daily driver, of course.

I'm installing a recliner and a cooler on the back, for dove season.

I drive mine everyday in town, and I take it downtown San Antonio in the parking garages too. I guess you have to get used to it...

Went from regularly driving SRW's to a DRW and I never noticed a difference. Slightly wider but other then that it's not a big deal.

I use mine motsly to tow fiver & utility trailer. I have to remember that those big hips are back there, so as not to take off the fenders & cause other major damage., so far, so good. It is an issues to go from a Nissan Altima to the 3500, mentally making the adjustment.
I always park in the outer parking lot and never go through a bank drive-thru, or fast food, either. I usually just take 2 spaces when I park, No one complains, they seem to get it.

I put at least 50 miles on mine each day. It gets a bit hairy on some of the narrow roads I travel to and from work but the other cars will move... I love my dually!!!!!

PROS
People get out my way.
It's a alarm clock for my neighbors
( 5 o'clock on the money monday-friday )
click video for reason why.

The smell of sulfur in the morning. Man what a pick me up.
and countless others

Cons
I only get to drive it 3 miles to work. What a drag
Thats it.

I drove duallys for years, now I'm hooked on Unimogs. Ya know the thing that goes where H1 drivers "think" they can go? That's the one!
