Hybrids are overated, if you want mileage get a diesel car. 
I used to hang around the VW TDI forum, several people there bought the new Honda whatever it is and were quite displeased with it. The mileage ratings the EPA gave them weren't very accurate, I guess the VW TDI gets better mileage than a hybrid.

Impressive. I wonder if we'll ever get a chance to buy cars like these once the diesel supply is solely ULSD.
Two production cars, randomly selected by FIA officials, were used to undertake the speed records, and apart from the fitting of roll-cages, racing harnesses and radio equipment for track-to-pits communication, no other modifications were made to the cars.
