I was talking to my dad in SW Minnesota the other day and he said that the farmers were saying that it was cheaper to fill the tractor at the town pump than to get ag diesel delivered to the farm. Don't know if it was a delivery fuel surcharge or what but ag diesel apparently is hitting the farmers up there. Anyone else experience that?

Filled up today.
26.26 gallons came out to $63 bucks even.
Selling at $2.399 per gallon.
Station owner was manning the counter and told me he is buying Diesel at $2.38 per gallon, selling at a huge profit of $.01 cent per gallon.
Totally relying on the 20oz Diet Coke and pack of gum I also bought to break even.
He is at a loss to explain why Diesel is so expensive, and why it hasn't dropped yet, as it always drops around the 1st of April.

I talked to a representative of Love's truckstops, fuel purchaser for a minute the other day, said get ready for $4/gal average towards the end of summer for sure..i say the USA will crumble to a heap of smoldering rubble at that point, there's no one gonna survive at that price

Well I topped it off again today... 2.629 on the island. Next time I'll just wait till I'm heading back onto the mainland and pay only 2.579.
As for 4 a gallon... it'll suck, but people will pay for it... it sucks. If it weren't for the so crappy weather here in the PNW, I'd be on the bike a lot more.
