General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Okay, so those of you fellows that have the third and fourth issues...

Has any of the Ford bias gone away yet?

All the fuel in the world won't do you any good if it won't ignite...

The guy at Auto-Zone was determined to sell me new plugs for my PSD when he asked how many miles it had and I told him 260000, he asked if it had gotten new plugs lately, I said never... He kept pushing the Bosch ones, would have given me a little more power.

Got #4 today

Picked up #4 today. Must of just came out. I haven't read through it yet, saving it for some quality reading time in the office .
Looks like the editor got a lot of crap from the non-ford folks for issue #2 (I never saw #2 myself) . He wrote an editorial on Brand Loyalty and kinda explains why the mag appeared ford biased. He's a ford guy if you didn't already know.
Anyways, he say calls it a learning experience and will be diverse on the mags coverage. In fact, they will be expanding to non-truck vehicles.
There must have been a bunch of "Dodge Guys" that complained and that was the reason why the Banks Dodge Ram was in the front of the pack in issue #3.
just thought I pass it on.

DSLRammin,
Did you happen to look at the pics of "Big Red", looks like Optima must be a paid advertiser as the batteries under the hood are NOT Optima Yellow tops, they appear to be Pacific ???? (something or other). Looks like a pretty unreliable source for information, as they appear to be willing to write whatever they are paid to write. NOPE, I think I'll just go on trusting the DTR folks and save my money.

EDIT:
Heres the link to the big red article again
