diesel ****
well I think I was just threatened By the Kalifornia diesel ***** today
I was at the Sacramento airport today dropping off my daughter for her flight to Texas and as I was unloading luggage out the back and handing it to the skycap, a airport security cop came over and told me to turn it off (idling for 2 maybe 3 min.) or I would get a fine for polluting. He said CA, does not allow diesel engines to idle . I said I was leaving in a second .and he said turn it off NOW! so I reach in the passenger side and shut her down .Only to restart 30 seconds later. where have we let this country go

Just hang on you havnt seen nuttin yet. Obama wants to give Calif and other state the authority to make more strick regulations than the Feds. So when that happens the ***** will be out in droves to help support the state budget problems by takine more money from your wallet with fines.

If that was me I would have got in my truck and rolled some coal! , not the best for our cause but still would have been worth it.
would have told that mall cop to go ask the planes to "shut it off", if he cares about pollution so much.
of course i couldnt roll the coal even if i wanted to

That's funny I had something similar at Sacramento airport. I was dropping off a buddy and the cop runs over and tells me I can't wait here (I had literally just come to a stop). I said "I'm not waiting I'm dopping this guy off." He tells me to get moving and I'm like "Can my friend get out of the truck first so he can go to his flight?" It was insane. Must be the same guy.

This is true. I think CA wants to, and is unfortuantely going to be able to, make their own CO2 emission and mileage standards.

Had a "rent-a-cop" doing something similar. Told me I couldnt sit there waiting for my friend who was coming out at an airport. Told me to move along so went around the block once and went back to the same spot and sat. Attendant started to walk back over and waited till he was about 5 feet away and drove down the aisle 30-40 yards. Continued to do that and lets just say the 350lb+ slob was a little red in the face by the time I reached the end. Saw my buddy in the rear view and drove around the block and picked him up.
Most of the time real cops will laugh at a security guard about something like this. They have enough to worry about, especially at an airport!
