Well just about. The Chevron by my house now has diesel for $3.999. It's here! I never fill up there, but it's the first time I've seen it so high.

I wish everyone that didn't need a diesel would buy a gas so the price of diesel would go down.

You should see the street queens around here...

Looks like they drove through Summit with a crap magnet on their truck.

due to high prices I parked my truck and bought a 4 cyl. its about $35 to fill it up. I have a very bad attitude about the prices I think someone should be responsible for it

Yeah it really makes me mad. I went to get fuel today i haven't been really paying attention lately because i haven't had to fill up for a while and i look at the pump and it said $3.57/gallon. Which i know is a lot cheaper then what a lot of you guys got right now, it just irratates me because i put $50 in and it didn't even give me 1/2 a tank. When i bought my 2000 Cummins almost exactly 2 years ago, $50 filled it up off of empty and Diesel was $1.56/gallon. What is going on. I'm about tired of this. I'm might have to dig out the ole ATV, and hopefully i don't get too many tickets for riding on the street since i can't hardly afford to drive the ole pickup anymore. Which the irritating part is i still owe another 2 years on it until it's paid off, when i bought it it wasn't that bad since it does get upwards of 16-18 mpg, it's just almost too expensive to drive now. I just remind myself that gassers don't hardly get any better milage either, so switching to a 1/2 ton wouldn't make much of a difference, and i can't go without a pickup.

i think that all trucker should go on strike , not making deliveries means not needing to buy fuel, maybe it will scare the fuel companies to drop prices

$3.89/gallon in Washington, IL today, but it was $3.56/gal in Dunlap? strange but true.

I'm driving the Accord 90% of the time, succombing to the Sierra club faithful's regulatory control.

the trucking industry really won't do any thing, except tack on more fuel surcharge. and the days of independant truckers are almost finished... i can remember when the independants had some sort of control, but that was before NAFTA ..now we have big trucking companys that don't care

For our fleet and others I deal with, a strike would be like "cutting off our nose, to spite our face". So the saying goes. Bill collectors will still want their money and our customers will just hire someone else to haul their product.

Isn't that strange..
I am sure they don't have their own refinery on the reservation yet their fuel is so much cheaper.

Could it be that fuel doesn't really cost as much as they are telling us it does and somebody is putting extra coin in their pockets?

Another thing that is really marshing my mellow is all of the taxes they are charging per gallon that is supposed to go to road repair Ha!!!!
CalTrans repairs the road with dips and washboard finish and after the first rain the road surface washes away leaving ruts and gullies. You should hear me complain as I drive down the freeway bucking and shuddering as I hold on to my Ice Tea.
