I have a deutz fil 511 I need a manual on the engine or a way to download the manual. The engine has problems with the governor because when I start the engine it will run wide open. The unit was not run for 18 months and now is giving problems. Thanks for any help

Dad has a deutz something or other in an IR compressor, had the same issue, as well as surging. found out that there were about five screws loose on the case of the injection pump causing it to leak air and such. tightened them all up and it works fine now.

if tightening the hardware does not fix it try running a 50-50 mix of dextron atf and #2 diesel this will usually get the governor unstuck from the condensate caused rust

I have a leak around the bottom of the injector pump where is comes out of the cover. Can that cause the no governor problems. I will to fix the problem as well. I dont know if it is sealed by o rings or washers? The 50 / 50 mix of fuel and atf is added to the fuel? I need to buy a manual or I wish i could down load a manual. Thanks for all help

I have several deutz/kohler gensets in my radio sites for standby power.

Rick Aafedt at Pacific Detroit Diesel-Allison in Spokane has been a big help to me in obtaining the correct parts, he can probably get you a manual.
