Hope you got a good one! Any fuel system mods...yet? Get the FP gauge up and running ASAP, the VP is too expensive to ignore!
Uploading Photos: Go to your "Members Photo Gallery", there is a link to upload pics
Other than the FP gauge, most run a pyrometer and a boost gauge; A tranny temp gauge is another option, there is some discussion about how value-added these are, unless you're towing up a lot of hills...there's also some question about the accuracy of the ports typically measured, these give more of a tranny body temp than the actual working fluid temp?
How many miles are on the truck? Any mods to it that you are aware of?

Pyrometer = Exhaust Temp,. lets you know if you're about to fry your turbo (more appropriate when you start modifying the engine HP, or intake / exhaust paths)
FP = Fuel Pressure, absolutely critical for monitoring the fuel system, the Lift Pump on these trucks (2nd gen, 24V), is a real piece of s---, it fails, and takes the Injection Pump out. The lift pump is ~$150, the IP is $1400-1600.
Tranny Temp - monitors for overheating, the 47RE is a pretty weak tranny, one needs to baby it
Boost gauge - manifold pressure, more appropriate when you begin mod'ing the engine...
These gauges can be purchased separately or in a single "box", like the Dakota Digital or X-monitor components

I would recommend that you shop around, there are several advertisers on this site who have good deals, many swear by Diprocal, Autometer, and Isspro gauges.....
