When my 3500 is hauling apples and pears it pulls 28k, 16 hours a day 7 days a week for three months.
Sometimes we get to take a day or two off if it rains.
Only comes out to around 300 miles a day though due to loading/unloading time.
Truck has been doing this since '95 without even one breakdown in 220k. The key is preventive maintenance.
Mostly sits for the other nine months of the year. Gooseneck flatbed has only been disconnected a handful of times in the truck's life.

Bought mine 3.6.2003 with 203,000 on the clock, today it has 247,300. Gonna put 500+ on it today, and probably break 248,000 tomorrow, so in 62 weeks, I put on 45,000 miles, or 726 miles a week.
Not bad for going to school every day 'till 1:00.
Granted, some weeks I only put on 400, but I know that I have some 1,000 mile weeks, and a few at 1,500+
Man, I'm glad I didn't go with that 6.5L Chevy, or that 454 I found a year ago.
My dad and uncle drive more than me, Dad's 2001 Chevy has 120K showing, and Uncle's 2003 Duramax had 98K in 50 weeks, most of the time pulling his 32' Flatbed GN.

That's hard to figure, about 80,000 a year or higher. Sometimes up to 1000 in a 24 hour period when working. Usually get down for some time that reduces it. Average day of work is 500 to 1000 in a 24 hour period. Been way down the last four months. It gets its best mileage with the engine out of the truck.
