Re:CUMMINS VS. POWERSTROKE

Okay. Let me back up a second here. I was comparing the 94-2002 body style Ram and interior to the 99+ Ford Superdutys body and interior. The NEW Ram probably does have a much better combo. But I know from the truck I drive now that's it's nothing close to my Ford quality of interior and comfort. I'm sure the new Rams are surperb though.

Re:CUMMINS VS. POWERSTROKE

we use fords where I work and I don't see the inside of the truck being built better ??? are you seeing something I'm not. I have a 94 dodge diesel and have had no problems out of the WRAPPER as you would say is junk. Just because it feels cheap does not mean it is. I think the Ford dhases look plain and dull. If I had to drive one of those things all the time I would fall asleep at the wheel. The guage cluster is a joke and looks like a 6 yar old made the dang thing. There are a few things I don't like about the inside of the 98 Dodge I own but the interriors are different between the two model trucks. The best truck would be a 94-96 dash with the 97-02 guages. That would be sweet. <br>DM01

You better hope it isnt the future of truck motors. Yes, the sprinter has a MB 5 cylinder diesel. I have had to pull 3 of these engines out so far. Not fun and a pretty big POS. Lots of problems with stuck EGR valves, and injectors. Getting parts for them is a real pain even though Detroit is supposed to stock them.

The fact that the 5.9 is a medium duty rated engine and the PSD is a light duty rated engine is enogh for me!

Another interesting bit of info I learned. You will hear of guys swapping out the Powerstroke for a Cummins, but I have never heard of swapping out a Cummins for a Powerstroke.

Check this out.
