Cummins New V6 & V8 Diesels for Light Truck Market
Hey guys, don't know if this was touched on here at all, but I came across this today while looking for pictures of the 2009 dodges. It mentioned that dodge is working with cummins to produce a V-6 Diesel which is capable of producing 270hp & 420 lb-ft and the V-8 which is capable of 325hp & 500 lb-ft. The new V-6 weighs in at 663lbs 7 the V-8 is 788lbs. So this may mean diesels for the 1500's if people are looking for better mileage, towing and still owning a diesel. Plus opening it up to the durangos & other dodge vehicles. Below are the links for the new write ups.

Dodge will screw it up somehow, weak transmission or differential, some way some how. Maybe even comes with a "cracked dash" as a option.

I wonder if the V8 version will be like the Cummins that is found in the older style Ford Articulating Tractors...they put out around 300HP I believe. Obviously be different, but maybe coming from that design? Just thinking...
