That's funny that you started this thread about Cummins tools... I was just about to ask everyone about them. I'd never even heard about them up until about a week ago. There is a local dealer for these tools in my area and they sent me a flyer in the mail with some rediculously low prices. I was skeptical about the quality, so I'm glad I read your post before buying anything from them... you saved me some valuable time and $$... thanks!

BTW, I wonder if there is a TSB out there for your pliers and grinder?!

We just had a Cummins "road show" stop this past weekend in a nearby town in my corner of "hicksville". Quality stuff, all of it! All of the name brand stuff was recon'd. I looked but "I don't think so...."

Are you trying to say that a $9.99 drill is not quality?

Ive had decent luck with some of their hobby tools.
Such as very small screw driver sets, small hand crafting tools and such.

I know nothing about their heavier equipment, but Id guess it was the same as Harbor Freight stuff.

Here's another one.

Just a little history: Cummins Industrial Tools was started by Bob Cummins in 1977 in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1995 Bob relocated to the Kansas City area where in 1999 he built his new 160,000 square foot warehouse. Cummins Industrial Tools offers a complete line of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Air Tools and Air Compressors which are distributed nationwide. Bob has always been committed to excellence in service, quality, and customer satisfaction. Tap Enterprises Inc. has nine retail facilities; six in the Kansas City metropolitan area, two in the St. Louis metropolitan area and one in Omaha, NE. A large majority of the retail tool sales come from our "mobile tool sale stores". These mobile tool sales stores consist of sales trucks that travel throughout the forty-eight continental states conducting one and two-day tool shows.

Found on the "about" page.

Since it's they guy's last name, I don't think copywrite applies.
And he's using a totally different logo.

A friend of mine bought a Harbor Frieght angle grinder.

Spun great until you touched it to something, then didn't have enough power to keep spinning.
