I have a '98 12v 2wd dually. It's a 5 spd. It has 251k on it now. Before I owned it, it was used to haul hay, and someone put a #8 plate in it. I have hauled fema trailers with it, taken it to the dragstrip, and just generally beat on it some. It now has the modifications you see in my signature. Just yesterday, I dynoed it. It laid down 417 hp and 920 ft/lbs, on a notoriously conservative dyno. Other than having the kdp fixed, no internal engine work has ever been done to it. It runs great. I prefer it to my '06 with 8600 miles on it, if that tells you anything.

A neighbor of ours has a 2001 6 spd HO, it does have 250k miles on it though. They are mostly highway miles, and it has towed trailers, but not near the weight limit. I'm gonna check it out sometime next week, it looks real clean, but that is kinda high miles for 5 years old. What do you guys think?

I sold my 01 dually with 196,000 miles on it for $14,000 cash. It towed overweight pretty much all the time. The guy who bought it, stripped it to the frame, then put on just a 5er kingpin hitch and he's hauling double hay trailers (also overweight). He's got 55,000 miles on it since October.
