CTD Maintenance

The was looking the in book and it has two schedules to follow. a 7,500 and a 15,000 meaning not change the oil untill every 15,000. I am staying with the 7,500 but i was wondering if anyone could give me some info on what you are changing your oil at. So one more thing i have a garage and all tools and things need to do everything in the maintenance book so its cool to do everything myself right.. like when would i shold the truck to a "real" garage.. thanks

Look at the definitions of "light duty" and "normal duty".
If you actually start the truck and drive it, you've gone beyond "Light Duty", and need to change the oil at least every 7,500.

I don't have a garage that the truck will fit in, so I am still taking it to the Dealer for oil changes, along with all the other preventative's (tranny service, differential service), I do my own fuel filter changes because the Dealer's outrageous price, $15 bucks for a filter from the local Cummins Distributor and 5 minutes of my time is a lot better than the $50 plus they want to charge.

I've been changing mine between 6,000 to 8,000 miles, depending on long trips. Now that it is "turned" up I will decrease the mileage between changes.
