Coolent filter on small wet sleeve motor ?
I've just purchased a coolent filter housing for my 1650 oliver, have'nt installed it yet because I am not sure what filter to put on it. All of the 'small' filters I have been able to locate are for 9 or 10 gal systems. I'm not sure if that will overload a 4 gal. system with additives, I've been told to much is NOT good and will ruin the water pump. Any thoughts on this? or filter manufactures for small Diesels?
Thanks,
DuaneW.

most apliations you can buy with a "charge" of 1,2,or 3....so start with the smallest charge and measure it in a couple of weeks.............uou can very it from there.
also use only store bought distilled h2o for you saffest ph facter.

You can buy filters without the additives. Can buy a bottle of the additives seperately, and add as needed, or buy a diesel specific coolant with the additives. Make sure it is etheylene glycol based. Rotella ELC (it is pre-mixed) or the "Cool-gard" (pre-mixed or concentrate) from Deere is.
