is this a con??
i stopped by mister transmission today (ontario) and asked them if they got any low stall 1600rpm converters that can hold good power for my dodge just for fun....
the guy tells me "oooh one of those is about 250 to 300$" im like "u serious?...built tough with the stator, clutch and everything??" he says "yeah" with no smirk or anything he adds that its gonna be about 3 hours installation time so about 600$ total after tax (dont laugh at the taxes lol)
so what the heck is this a sham?? i told him id like to hold 800foot pounds he says "oh it will do that"
so...who wants to take a shot at this one

haha yeah well ive seen prices like that before in mustang mags for torque converters...dunno what to think really but i am on a budget so spending 3000 for a TC with labour and shipping and all that is just insane my truck cost me
12 000 so i mean for 3000 i can get a car

I'd buy the car before I installed JUST a new TC...even if it was top line and cheap! See here: http://www.dieseltrans.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=136
Just my opinion.
