Kind of off the subject, Mr realsquash; but, do you own one of those rail-cars that is in your picture??

I watched a TV special, where these families got together and took rail-rides on the real rail-road in their little rail-cars.

They would get authorization from the host rail-road and take a tour.

There were dozens of them.

Bearkiller,

Yes that is my "speeder" that I rebuilt. I belong to a group called Narcoa. You can read all about it at http://www.narcoa.org. I put over 2000 rail miles on it last year. I can't describe how much fun it is! This summer I'm going on a run from The Pas to Churchill, Manitoba and back as well as a few other shorter more local ones.

Some pix on my slow webserver at home:

Hey guys, some of the gelling might be from unscrupulous Pump operators!

Yesterday, both our local School busses gelled up. ( Love them small school systems! ) In any instance, there were many other Diesels that filled from there gelled up.

Seems even though the tank had a winterized sticker on it, the fuel was NOT winterized. Oops, but at least the place is saying they are going to pay for the fuel filters/Mechanics time, etc.

Mine is going now after I put a new filter in. I'm also running some antigel STP stuff that I found (the only antigel stuff in a 10 mile radius of where I needed it). It was -4F this morning and all is well. I let it idle for about 10 minutes before I took off, and that was before I had put in any antigel stuff.

Here in N. IA most places are mixing the fuel 70/30 with #1 diesel and so far I've not heard of any complaims for this mix. But I don't trust any of them and use 10-12oz of PS and 16 oz of 2 cycle oil just to be on the safe side.

I took a short peek at the NARCOA site and intend to look it over real good, when more time allows.

That looks like more fun than anything I've been involved in, yet, and I thought I had about done it all.

I am gonna have to hunt up one of those little machines, or build one from scratch.
