i use amsoil 15w-40 marine its the cheapest synthetic out there and one of the best. $3.75 a quart not too bad for full synthetic and only about a $1.50 more than dino, but i can go twice as long on amsoil than dino

$3.75/quart for Syn? I pay about $36 for 6 gal of Rotella, about $1.50/Qt. In theory, you have to change Syn just as often as Dino. So, unless you are drag racing, or hauling 40,000 lbs across Death Valley in June, you are urinating money down the hole.
All you Syn people have been flim-flammed by MARKETING HYPE, at least in regard to motor oils. Gears are another matter.

Looks like Im number 3 for Scheaffers, been running it for approx 40K now in this truck, supreme 15-40. Change between 6 and 7 k, switched from rosmella - T, difference is at 5k with rosemella you knew it was time to change oil just from sound of truck, now with the scheaffers, I have to actually watch the mileage to remember to change at 6 to 7k. Will extend changes when out of warrenty.
