Question Choice of oil

Just want to get an idea as to what everyone is using in their engines.

Please DO NOT turn this into a brand war.

Chose Valvoline Premium Blue--currently using the PB Extreme 5w-40 but probably will switch to Delvac 1 when I run out of Valvoline.

Isn't Shell Rotella and Rimula the same oil?

Nope, I believe Rimula is Shell's synthetic.

Rimula is a non-synthetic, high ash level oil formulated for fleet use. I've seen it selling for about a dollar cheaper than Rotella T.

BTW, why is it that Mobil 1 API SJ is sold in 5 quart containers, but Mobil 1 Truck and SUV is not?

It is! Its called Delvac 1, and usually you can only buy it at a bulk oil distributor.

Delo 400 here.

You're missing a lot of choices. I like Delvac 1300 S, and I have some Pennzoil Long Life ready to go in this spring when the Rotella synthetic is done.

Delo for 30 years but will be switching to Schaeffer's 7000 15W-40 (Synthetic Blend) next change.
According to independent testing this is the best oil going.

I looked up Rimula on Shell Oil's website. Interesting to see Rimula is a whole line of dino and synthetic oils. Marketed mainly in Europe. http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?...s_ga_0105.html
