Check your steering!

I was putting front pads on the mighty Dodge when I noticed the steering had a lot of play. The drivers side tie rod end was worn pretty badly, it has a lot of side and up/down movement. There was no steering wander or clunking sounds when driving it. I never would have noticed it I didn't have it up on jack stands. I'm glad I found it now instead of having it let go on the road. Think I'll be checking the tie rods and drag links every few months from now on.

I think it's called the pucker factor!

I was putting grease in a tie rod once and the end just fell off.

Yup, sometimes they'll hold right up til they get lubed and slippery. 93w250, I just got Moog from Auto Value. If you do the drag link too, the Moog looks beefier than stock, but is also one piece. I don't know where you could get a two piece, but am thinking about seeing if anybody can cut mine to make it adjustable.
