Chalk one up for the Dodge's
Let me first say that I felt bad for the guy and helped him out.
Coming out the north side of Clinton is what the locals call "3 mile hill"
Halfway up this hill I saw a guy in a Powerstroke Ford sitting on the side of the road with a 5er camper behind him. Being who I am, I couldn't help but stop.
2002, 3/4 ton, 4X4, crew cab, auto, very nice looking truck. With only 22,000ish miles the hill claimed his tranny and he was stuck.
We unhooked the trailer and he could get it moving. I pulled his 5er back into town with him in front of me. Got his camper to a decent campsite where he could at least relax.
I have a feeling he'll be staying here for the week. Luckily there's a decent trans shop in town.

It's good to know there are guys like you out there. Getting a tow truck with a fiver has to be expensive, I hope he bought you dinner or at least a beer. Plenty of guys would just drive by - or stop to point and laugh.

Saw a guy with his Lexus RS300 stuck in a corn field. Don't ask me how it got there. I stopped to see if he needed anyhelp and he said that triple a would be there in an hour. I told him I could have him out of there in 15 minutes (he was maybe 10 ft in). He said no so I drove off. Drove back by an hour later and he was still there. Later that week, my girlfriend stood me up for homecoming, got my first ticket the day after that, then wrecked my dad's vette the day after that. I quit helping people.

Yeah I seem to get burned alot when helping people.. especially with computers. I just stoped helping anyone with them and I should go burn my network engingering degree. But I always try to help out with cars. I'm glad others do too. I've even pulled a fork lift out of the mud... Mostly I find little suvs that cant seem to stay on the road in the snow I really like snow
