As far as I know, Cummins already has plants there.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I think it was in the documentary on the History channel. Keep in mind, "our" Cummins engines are not being made there.

China is a big and growing market and Cummins and CAT are out to make some major cash in that country in the near future.

Kukje in Korea builds Cummins, but I'm not sure which model(s). Besides their own brands of engines and tractors, they also build John Deeres for the Asian market. They have a very good product.

 

Cummins engines are used in some of the Chinese busses but I don't know if the engines were produced there or not.

 

Cummins does build engines in China and is 50/50 partners with a Chinese company building engines in South America.

 

The engine facilities in Wuxi would be able to produce up to 100,000 engines annually that would be sold to customers - original equipment manufacturers - in China and the Pacific Rim region.

They are making the engines for china in china. Makes sense to me. It doesnt say they are planning to stop producing engines in america. Maby they will maby they wont. WHo knows. Its still to far away to tell.
