cant plug my truck in for the winter what should i do

Next oil change I switch to Rotella Synthetic. I am going to install an Astrostart RSS 5224 as well. Check that out...theres extra features and you can adjust the idle time as well as start up temps and...it has a turbo cooldown.

Fuel additive is always good especially with the ULSD...for some reason I see more condensation from that then LSD. Maybe because it has more water in it and we pay more for it. LOL Probably why I see a mpg improvement when I get some LSD in the tanks too. Whoops I got off topic a bit...going to stand in the corner now. I am down to one place on my route that has LSD...Gary IN Flying J. Kind of a long drive for you though.

At 0* it will be slow but should still crank. Like you were told previously, cycle the pre-heater twice before cranking. If you still feel the need for some supplemental heat, you can go with propane. Google propane engine heaters. Look at Espar or BHilton. Espar has been at it a long time.
