Can you straight pipe a small diesel?
Guys...
I've got the Jeep with the 2.8L I-4 turbo diesel. 160 HP/295 LB/Ft.
I'm looking to put an aftermarket air filter in it, and remove the muffler for less restriction. What do you guys think? Will it hurt performance to do that, or will it help on these smaller diesels?

I wouldn't think it would cause any harm so go for it, see what happeneds, if it hurts it put the muffler back on. If it was me that muffler would be off the day after i bought it! (thats what I did w/mine 
)
