After I typed that I wondered if they ever made a diesel regal, my parents owned a cutlass diesel.....wow what a pos. It did make it to 100,000 miles which was rare.

Well that goes for anything, an item is only worth what the next guy is willing to pay reguardless of what any book price says. But as far as it not being worth at least 10k IMO is off since the engine and transmission w/mods, and wheels could bring that on Ebay.
