Its just a GN, its not worth $40K. Maybee if it was a mint GNX it would sell for that much, but that would be about it. Hot air GN's can be picked up all day long for under $10K in excellent shape.

I totally thought it was going to run into the wall...

Didn't someone say that it was a clone? It was originally a Regal?

It didn't start as a GN. He made it to look like one so the value is no where near that.

I wonder what they did to the frame? How are these car frames gonna hold up to 700,800....1000 pounds of torque?? You can see it's twisting the heck out of the car. Awesome build though, sounds good and who would even think it was a diesel. The exhaust idling just sounds like a gasser with great exhaust.....maybe a bit different...then the smoke!!

Oddity, worth less than 10K at action. Very small brakes. Odd ball all around. But I bet it's fast.

If you would read all his posts in the Buick forum you'd see that one of the reasons he used the regal instead of the Grand National was because the regal started life as a diesel. So since he lives in California the car is exempt from all emissions tests. Also I doubt the "twisting frame" is an issue since he said it's his daily driver and I doubt he'll be using all the HP on his drive to work daily, I probably would but hey.....

This frame twists BAD and it doesn't seem to have a problem at the track

It started as an 81 Oldsmobile Cutlass, not a Buick Regal
