I saw somewhere on web? a hybred turbo on a vehicle with an electric motor w/clutch mounted on turbo to spin it up for boost befoe the exhaust takes over.

Got me thinking What if we put a flap door on turbo out let and put an electric turbine in parallel with a flap door an T in, that ran at low boost only? what do you think?

It'd be easier and more efficient to artificially build boost prematurely in the turbo, either in the turbine or directly into the impeller.

Porsche used compressed air to achieve the similar affect. I'm not sure on the details of the system though.

why not just install one of these???


it makes UP TO 3LBS OF BOOST!!!

THEN, install a few of these:


one after the turbo, one before the intercooler, one after the intercooler, and one right before the air intake horn.
Supposed to up your hp by 15 hp PER UNIT plus approx 30 ft lbs apeice. and you will see at minimum a 4 mpg increase

Yeah, they'd have to be positive-displacement chargers!

I didn't realize Porsche used a scheme like that... breathes new life into our H2O/exhaust-initiated artificial boost.
