General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I found another way to save fuel...

I already removed all the 4x4 parts and then I took out the radiator, intercooler and AC Condensor. Then I took the grill out and Hammered the hood down more for aerodynamic improvements...yeah...thats it aerodynamic improvements. LOL

Next I am going to chop the top of the cab off.

At this rate I will have 22 mpg all day long!

Now that you have that thing lightened up.. I have a mod that will bump you up another Mpg... Maybe more....
Bend the throttle so that it is 1/4" from the floor. Should bring the RPM's down | Cooler EGT's | and Cooler Tranny Temp!
Add in a few Gas Station Drive off's and your fuel bill will look really good!

Another good way to make your fuel bill look good would be to buy a 6.0no. You'd wind up driving a Ford Focus so much with the truck in the shop, you'd be bound to save lots o' money.

I was thinkin about swapping out my rims and tires for some mountain bike tires and rims. That would really help out aerodynamics and with all the weight I would save from the above ideas they might be able to hold up.

All you tall guys could take the seats out and sit on the floor and drive. As for those of us who are height challenged, we'd have to stand up or sit on a 5 gal. plastic bucket. The bucket could be dual purpose for long trips if you set it open end up.

Everybody is stinking....I mean thinking and this is great!

The bucket idea might go a step further...I wonder if its the same as methane gas injection?

I can see a padlock and a [censored] coming if this goes too far. We better be careful and get the most mileage out of this thread without getting it shut down.
