Hey there champ, I got a 2006 Megacab that's paid for. Don't need another. I live in Woodbridge so I could help, but I wanted to see what you were looking at first.

I would offer to check it out for you but it sounds like a beater. Not much I could probably say about that truck if I saw it in person. Old trucks need work, and you're the only guy who knows what your tolerance for pain is. IMO, $2500 for anything with a running CTD is a fair price.
