Been thinking of getting a box truck (and removing the box) and using it as a secondary truck for my construction co. Does anyone have one and what do you think of them? Is there a forum pertaining to them where I could do some research? Thanks in advance. Chris

 

i have one that the box was already removed:97 freightliner fl60 low-pro 5.9 with an allison.i bought it to pull my 5th wheel.the one ton dually was just pushed to the extreme,plus i want to be able to bring my bike so i needed a bigger truck.i wanted one with a box,so i could take it off and use it for storage.but all the trucks i was finding were either too high priced were not low pro's or had manual trans,which i did not want.i've got about 8k in it.plates cost me about 20 bucks a year more then the one ton but my insurance is cheaper by about 60 bucks a year so i'm actually coming out ahead.there are some rv forums that deal with em and there is one site in particular that i know of but can't think of the name right off the top of my head.someone on here did refer me to it though so they might chime in with it yet.
